We’re pleased to share a case study from InnovateUK which highlights DZP Technologies’ work on silver metal recycling from electronics manufacturing waste.

Silver is usually associated with jewellery and antique coins; however, it also underpins all modern technology. You cannot build a smart phone, an electric vehicle, or an AI data centre without using silver, the metal which joins everything together to enable the flow of current and make things work.

The project reflects our company vision to create a future of resource circularity, where electronics waste doesn’t exist. And we are now better placed to help customers design and develop new electronics products which are both cost-efficient and protect the environment.

In another follow-up study, we looked into separating silver from other metals used in electronics manufacture, like copper and nickel. So, the journey continues!
