DZP Technologies wins research funding

20th February 2025, Cambridge, UK

We are pleased to announce that DZP Technologies have been awarded research funding from the UK’s Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA) to develop new advanced materials solutions, which can enable the dexterous robot to perform human-like operations and tasks which are impossible today.

During the project, we will research and develop a toolbox of printed electronics components, together with digital analytical tools. We will also create new scientific models, the lack of which currently impacts on the wider industrial adoption of printed electronics, creating more reliable, robust and explainable technical solutions.

This is an exciting new development for us, which gives us the opportunity to demonstrate how new materials and novel forms of electronics can be combined with digital technology to shift existing paradigms in robotics and beyond.

ARIA’s Robot Dexterity programme will accelerate the development of robot hardware to unlock the full potential of developments in machine learning and AI, creating vastly more capable and useful machines. Bridging the gap between the capabilities of robot software and hardware will allow us to realise the full potential of robots in addressing major societal challenges, from radically improving workplace safety to supporting the future workforce amongst ageing populations.

ARIA’s purpose is to unlock scientific and technological breakthroughs which benefit everyone. ARIA’s guiding principle that the most important advances stem from those willing to think differently about what might be possible, resonates deeply with our company ethos and motivation.  We are proud and excited to be supported by the Robot Dexterity programme and cannot wait to share our progress in the coming months and years.
